About the Institute
The clearest organizations know what they will refuse as well as what they will pursue.

Where we work
The Institute serves schools and communities in the United States and Belize, and is building partnerships across the Caribbean. We enter as a respectful partner — not as an exporter of assumptions.

The case for Imagine
Core beliefs
We reject deficit thinking. Support should identify needs without reducing a person to those needs.
Professional learning should respect time, context, expertise, and the realities of implementation.
Authority exists to serve the mission, protect people, and steward resources.
Parent engagement should be accessible, respectful, and connected to meaningful action.
New approaches should be ethical, evidence-informed, transparent, and appropriate for the people affected.
Cost, geography, disability, language, and technology should be considered in program design.
The Institute should be willing to test assumptions, hear criticism, and change course.
Optimism is valuable only when paired with planning, follow-through, and accountability.
Culture by design
We tell the truth, disclose relevant information, and do what we said we would do.
We prepare carefully and deliver work that is useful, accurate, and worthy of trust.
We pursue better solutions without confusing speed with wisdom.
We organize around the needs of learners and communities rather than our own convenience.
We share credit, invite expertise, and solve problems across roles and institutions.
We seek feedback, reflect honestly, and improve our practice.
We believe meaningful change is possible and act with disciplined optimism.
An opportunity belongs at Imagine when it advances an educational purpose, serves a legitimate public benefit, fits our values, can be delivered with excellence, and does not compromise independence or integrity.
